About
I am a photographer and web designer based in Poitiers, France. I practice my profession with great pleasure and I work hard to show my versatility, although my passion focuses, naturally, on two themes: animal portraits and photo manipulations. As for the latter, nothing’s better than immersing myself into my childhood, surrounded by my toys and fascinated by magic. A moment when my imagination was overpowering.
I have now passed the age for playing with toys, but not for bringing them to life thanks to the only magic I possess, Photoshop.

Research
Very patient and always available, a figurine is the perfect model.
Once I have a new figurine, I try and find a theme that I would like to experiment with, not necessarily in the same universe as the character.
The theme chosen, I need to find a background that fits. It could be a simple studio backdrop, a photo or a photo manipulation.
Depending on the pose of the figurine, I will try and find the best way to bring it to life. Starting with multiple drafts to try and find the style I’m looking for.

Photoshoot
First steps finished, time for the photo shoot.
For the backdrop, I have two options : either I will go through my personal image bank, or I will find a location to take the photos I need for my project. (one background often contains a mixture of multiple photos).
I will then place the figurine in my homemade studio, I will adapt my lighting to what I decided on in my drafts and then I will take multiple shots until I get the result I would like.
Once I’ve got my guidelines and the photos I need, half of the work is done !

Photo Manipulation
I will start by building my backdrop and then integrate the figurine. I use all my knowledge to make the incorporation look as realistic as possible. You can probably see improvements in my work as time goes on as I try to improve with each project.
The main constraint I put into my work is to produce a large format, with a high resolution (300ppi). This can sometimes make the work harder, but this way I can anticipate future uses such as large prints. If you’re interested in purchasing a print of one of my creations, Please contact me.
